Strange canadian penny

I found a canadian cent in my change yesterday that I thought was rather odd. I check the dates on them because I save the ones 1996 and prior. The date on this one said 1867-1992. It's probably common, but what does it mean? Is it something like our bicentennial quarter which has a date of 1776-1976?

I'm not canadian, so I'm not familiar with these particular dates.

1867 was Canadian Confederation....125 yrs later you have 1992.
Probably circulation commem.....not much value beyond a cent.

Thank you! I guess I'll just save it along with the rest. I assume then, that this one was minted in 1992.
